Breakfast crunch

5 minutes

We all deserve a sprinkling of goodness in the morning. Try this breakfast crunch on your cereal or just as a snack. Full of protein, healthy fats, calcium, copper and zinc to name a few. I recommend this to my clients who need thyroid health support.

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp tahini

  • 6 tbsp sunflower seeds

  • 8 tbsp pumpkin seeds

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup

Directions

  1. Pre heat oven to 170 fan (190C or 375F).

  2. Put the tahini and syrup in a bowl.

  3. Stir in the seeds.

  4. Spread out evenly on a non stick baking free (silicon one or use baking paper so they don’t stick).

  5. Bake for 30 minutes, giving them a stir after half time.

  6. Allow to cool and put in kilner jar - they store well for up to a few weeks.

Notes

  • Tahini is made of sesame seeds which are a great source of calcium so these are a great option if you have a dairy free diet.

  • Pop the jar on the table at breakfast time to encourage your children to add this to their breakfast.
